The Black Keys are a blues rock duo from Akron, Ohio, formed in 2001 by guitarist and singer Dan Auerbach and drummer Patrick Carney. Their early sound was a raw, garage-leaning take on juke joint blues, later widening into psychedelia and hip-hop-inflected production. The platinum-selling albums "Brothers" (2010) and "El Camino" (2011) broke them commercially, and the duo has won six Grammy Awards.
