The Avalanches are an Australian electronic group formed in Melbourne in 1997. Their plunderphonics sound is built from layered samples; their debut "Since I Left You" (2000) was assembled from roughly 3,500 vinyl samples. That album won four ARIA Awards in 2001, and the group returned after a long gap with "Wildflower" (2016) and "We Will Always Love You" (2020).
