The Aggrolites in Los Angeles

The Aggrolites are an American reggae band from Los Angeles, formed in 2002 from members of the Vessels and Rhythm Doctors. They call their style "dirty reggae," blending ska, rocksteady, and vintage Jamaican soul into tightly arranged instrumentals. Originally a backing band for Derrick Morgan, they signed to Hellcat Records and released "Dirty Reggae" (2003) and "Reggae Hit L.A." (2007). Live sets channel 1960s Kingston and 1970s London rocksteady revivalism with energetic, dancefloor-focused grooves.
