Thao

Thao is the American singer-songwriter Thao Nguyen, originally from Virginia and based in San Francisco. A multi-instrumentalist on guitar, banjo and mandolin, she works in folk rock and indie pop, and her songwriting draws on her Vietnamese American family history. She led the band Thao & the Get Down Stay Down, whose albums include "We the Common" (2013) and "Temple" (2020), and dropped the moniker in 2021.
