Tama Sumo in Detroit

Tama Sumo is the stage name of Kerstin Egert, a German DJ based in Berlin and a resident at Berghain and Panorama Bar. Her sets range across house and techno into disco, soul, funk and broken beat, and her reputation rests on her skills as a selector. She played her first sets in 1993, was a Tresor resident from 1994, and records for Ostgut Ton. She frequently plays back to back with the DJ Lakuti.
