Swirlies is an American indie rock band formed in Boston in 1990. Their recordings blend shoegaze, twee pop, electronica and lo-fi, with shifting tempos and heavily effected guitars. The 1993 LP "Blonder Tongue Audio Baton" rose to prominence in American noise pop. Founder Damon Tutunjian still leads a revolving lineup on sporadic US tours.
