Suzanne Vega is an American singer-songwriter from New York City whose folk-inspired songs made her a leading figure of the 1980s folk revival. Accompanying herself on acoustic guitar, she writes succinct, understated songs about city life and ordinary people. Her self-titled debut (1985) and "Solitude Standing" (1987) produced hits including "Luka" and "Marlene on the Wall"; her tenth album "Flying with Angels" came in 2025. Live performances showcase her clear, knowing voice and masterful storytelling.
