Stryper

Stryper is an American Christian metal band formed in 1981 in La Mirada, California. The band plays melodic heavy metal with lyrics about faith and salvation instead of the genre's darker imagery. The albums "To Hell with the Devil" (1986) and "In God We Trust" (1988) went platinum and gold respectively. Concerts are marked by the band's yellow and black stripes and by the New Testaments they throw into the crowd.
