Stanton Moore

Stanton Moore is a New Orleans drummer and founding member of funk band Galactic since the 1990s. His playing fuses second-line funk, soul-jazz and hard-hitting grooves rooted in Professor Longhair and the Meters. Solo debut "All Kooked Out!" (1998) launched a long recording career; he also works in Garage a Trois and The Breaks. Live sets pair explosive New Orleans pocket with fearless improvisation.
