Solids

The Solids are a New York pop-rock band formed at Wesleyan University in 1996 by Carter Bays and Craig Thomas. They write hooky, melody-driven rock spanning earnest heartbreak songs and playful novelty tunes tied to How I Met Your Mother. A clip from Hey Beautiful became the sitcom's theme after they moved to Los Angeles to produce the series. Reunion shows at Mercury Lounge replay early college-band songs loud and unchanged.
