Sinfonia Toronto is a Toronto chamber orchestra founded in 1998 by conductor Nurhan Arman. Its core of virtuoso string players performs standing, in the European chamber-orchestra tradition, with winds and brass added for larger scores. Programs span Baroque through contemporary repertoire, with many Canadian and world premieres. Concerts under Arman emphasize color, clarity, and encores on international tours.
