Seun Kuti & Egypt 80
world
Seun Kuti & Egypt 80 is the Nigerian Afrobeat band led by Seun Kuti, youngest son of Fela Kuti and head of his father's Egypt 80. Their music extends politically charged Afrobeat with horn-driven West African grooves. Kuti took over after Fela died in 1997; albums include "Many Things" (2008) and Grammy-nominated "Black Times" (2018). Live sets pair his originals with Fela's songs in commanding, politically rooted performances.
