Scherrie Payne

Scherrie Payne is an American R&B singer from Detroit, best known as the final lead vocalist of the Supremes. Her voice carried the group's late-period disco hits with polished Motown melodies and dance-floor drive. She joined in 1973, sang lead on "High Energy" (1976), and stayed until their 1977 London farewell. She later recorded "Partners" (1979) with Susaye Greene and performs with Former Ladies of the Supremes.
