Ricky Skaggs is a Kentucky-born country and bluegrass singer, mandolinist, and Country Music Hall of Fame inductee. With his band Kentucky Thunder, he pairs neotraditional country songs with virtuoso acoustic picking and close harmonies. He helped revive old-time country in the 1980s and later earned multiple Grammy Awards for bluegrass albums. Shows highlight tight band interplay, from Grand Ole Opry sets to acoustic Christmas programs.
