Pig Destroyer is an American grindcore band formed in 1997 in Alexandria, Virginia, led by vocalist J.R. Hayes and guitarist Scott Hull. Their sound pairs Hayes's poetic lyrics with Hull's thrash, sludge, and punk riffs and blistering blast beats. Albums such as "Prowler in the Yard" (2001) and "Head Cage" (2018) on Relapse cemented their standing in grindcore. Their live sets are known for ferocious intensity.
