Pieces of a Dream

jazz

Pieces of a Dream is an American jazz fusion group from Philadelphia, formed in 1976 by teenagers James Lloyd, Curtis Harmon, and Cedric Napoleon. Their sound blends jazz with funk and R&B, shaped by saxophonist Grover Washington Jr., who produced their early Elektra releases. The soul hit "Warm Weather" in 1981 and "Fo-Fi-Fo" in 1983 are signature chart moments. Their shows follow Washington's ethos of leaving everything on the stage.
