Paul Anka is a Canadian-American singer-songwriter born in Ottawa in 1941, a teen idol of the late 1950s. His pop hits include "Diana" (1957), which topped the US chart, "Lonely Boy" and "Put Your Head on My Shoulder". He wrote the English lyrics of Frank Sinatra's "My Way", Tom Jones's "She's a Lady" and the Tonight Show theme. He was inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame in 1980.
