One Step Closer is a hardcore band from Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, formed in 2016. Its early work drew on youth crew revival hardcore before the sound shifted toward melodic hardcore with emo and grunge leanings. The debut album "This Place You Know" (2021) was followed by "All You Embrace" (2024), which moved further into what the band's coverage calls emo grunge.
