Oakwood is an American emo band from Austin, Texas, led by vocalist Mathew Dwyer, bassist and guitarist TJ James, and drummer Noah Roots. Their sound sits in Midwest emo and post-hardcore, pairing melancholic guitar with introspective lyrics. After early EPs in 2013 and 2015, they reunited when a track went viral online and released debut album "Blurred Away" (2026) on Memory Music. Their live shows tour intimate club rooms across North America with fellow emo acts.
