New Jazz Underground

New Jazz Underground is a New York jazz trio of saxophonist Abdias Armenteros, bassist Sebastian Rios, and drummer TJ Reddick, formed at Juilliard. Their sound merges swing, blues, and improvisation with hip-hop, indie, and Afro-Latin influences. They won the 2023 DCJazzPrix and released "MF Doom Suite" and "Hoodies" (2026). Live performances pair explosive energy with the interplay seen in their viral living-room videos.
