Raheem Jarbo, known as Mega Ran, is a Philadelphia-born nerdcore rapper, songwriter and producer associated with Phoenix. His hip-hop sets video game samples and chiptune textures into rap, a blend he tags chip-hop. The 2007 release "Mega Ran" reimagined Mega Man as hip-hop and earned a Capcom license. He tours rock clubs and fan conventions with sets built around game-inspired tracks.
