Matt the Electrician

Matt the Electrician is the stage name of Austin singer-songwriter Matt Sever, known for folk-pop and Americana. His sound mixes indie folk and neo-folk with everyday storytelling and acoustic warmth. The name stuck after he introduced himself from day jobs as an electrician, and he has released a dozen albums since the late 1990s. Live sets favor intimate, roots-driven guitar and banjo performances.
