Mareux is the Los Angeles solo project of musician Aryan Ashtiani, known for romantic darkwave and songs like "The Perfect Girl". His sound blends synth-pop, coldwave, and post-punk with glacial beats, lustrous synths, and a passionate, mournful vocal delivery. His cover of The Cure's "The Perfect Girl" went viral on TikTok in 2021, and he released the debut album "Lovers From the Past" in 2023. He played Coachella in 2023 as his online following grew into an international cult audience.
