Mama's Broke is a folk duo from Halifax, Nova Scotia, made up of Amy Lou Keeler and Lisa Maria. Their dark folk draws on close harmony singing, fiddle and traditions from Eastern Canada, Appalachia, Ireland and Eastern Europe. Their debut "Count the Wicked" won the Canadian Folk Music Award for Ensemble of the Year in 2017, and "Narrow Line" (2022) earned a Juno nomination. The pair met while busking on the road.
