Eric Estornel, recording as Maceo Plex, is an American DJ and producer who links house warmth, techno weight, and electro's synthetic pull. Across Maceo Plex, Maetrik, and Mariel Ito aliases he pairs muscular rhythms with vulnerable melodies in emotionally centered club music. His debut album "Life Index" (2011) on Crosstown Rebels marked a turn toward deep, festival-friendly house after years as Maetrik.
