Lita Ford is a British-born American guitarist and vocalist raised in Long Beach, California. Her glam metal sound pairs hard-rock riffing with melodic hooks and powerhouse vocals. Lead guitarist for the Runaways from 1975 to 1979, she scored 1980s hits including "Kiss Me Deadly" and the Ozzy Osbourne duet "Close My Eyes Forever." Live shows spotlight her lead-guitar heroics in high-energy hard rock sets.
