LeAnn Rimes is an American singer born in Jackson, Mississippi in 1982 and raised in Garland, Texas, who broke through in country music at age 13. A soprano, she has moved between country, pop and dance-pop. Her debut "Blue" (1996) went six times platinum and made her the youngest winner of the Grammy for Best New Artist, and "How Do I Live" (1997) set a record by spending 69 weeks on the Billboard Hot 100.
