LCD Soundsystem
rockpop
LCD Soundsystem is an American dance-punk band from Brooklyn, formed in 2002 by singer-producer James Murphy of DFA Records. Songs merge disco, post-punk, and club electronics with wry lyrics about aging and New York nightlife. "Sound of Silver" (2007) and singles such as "Losing My Edge" and "All My Friends" made them a defining 2000s dance-rock act. Live gigs are marathon, high-volume dance parties led by Murphy and an expanded band.
