Laurel Halo

Laurel Halo is the stage name of Laurel Anne Chartow, an American electronic musician from Ann Arbor, Michigan, who is based in Los Angeles. Her work moves between ambient, avant-pop, experimental and techno, drawing on the Detroit, London and Berlin scenes as well as a background in free jazz. Her debut album "Quarantine" (2012) was named album of the year by The Wire, and she followed it with "Chance of Rain" (2013), "Dust" (2017) and "Atlas" (2023). She also composes for film and for fashion runways, and joined the composition faculty at CalArts in 2023.
