Land of Talk is a Canadian indie rock band from Montreal led by singer-guitarist Elizabeth Powell. Their songs are confrontational and confessional, with layered guitar rock rooted in 1990s alternative influences. Debut "Applause Cheer Boo Hiss" came in 2006; "Some Are Lakes" followed in 2008 and "Life After Youth" in 2017. Live sets draw on a rotating lineup built around Powell's voice and guitar.
