La Bottine Souriante is a traditional Québécois music group founded in 1976 in Joliette, in Quebec's Lanaudière region. Its sound blends accordion, fiddle, voices and foot percussion with Celtic and Acadian roots and, since 1990, a horn section. The band won Juno Awards for Best Roots & Traditional Album in 1989, 1992 and 2002, and was named Best Live Act at the 2000 BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards.
