Kodo

Kodo is a Japanese taiko ensemble from Sado Island, formed in 1981 and renowned for popularizing taiko worldwide. Their music centers on thunderous rhythms, pieces such as O-daiko and Yatai-bayashi, and the One Earth touring series. Since their Berlin Philharmonie debut, they have toured for over four decades. Live sets feature athletic precision, visceral drum power, and passages of stillness.
