Kings of Leon is a rock band formed in Mount Juliet, Tennessee, in 1999 by brothers Caleb, Nathan and Jared Followill and their cousin Matthew. Their early records blended Southern rock and garage rock with blues influences before moving toward alternative rock. "Use Somebody", from "Only by the Night" (2008), won the Grammy for Record of the Year, and "Sex on Fire" topped the modern rock chart.
