Kiefer in Denver

Kiefer is a Los Angeles pianist and producer who bridges jazz improvisation and hip-hop beat-making in a style he calls Over The Breaks. Raised in San Diego and trained at UCLA under Kenny Burrell, he pairs lush harmony with minimalist, hypnotic grooves. He has released on Stones Throw and Blue Note, won a Grammy for work on Anderson .Paak's Malibu, and collaborated with Dr. Dre and Kaytranada. His live sets showcase soulful keyboard playing at the intersection of jazz and beats.
