Joelton Mayfield is a Texas-raised, Nashville-based songwriter working in indie rock and alt-country. A former small-town Texas church music director, Mayfield writes about the hypocrisies of his upbringing, the unraveling of old beliefs and doubt. The debut album "Crowd Pleaser" (2025) was tracked over three weeks in a converted barn near Alabama's Mobile Bay with friends and collaborators.
