Joe Russo's Almost Dead

Joe Russo's Almost Dead is an American rock band formed in Brooklyn, New York, in 2013, led by drummer Joe Russo. The group plays high-energy, improvisational reinterpretations of the Grateful Dead catalog rather than note-for-note tribute sets. Russo had previously performed Dead material with Furthur; the lineup includes Marco Benevento, Dave Dreiwitz, Scott Metzger, and Tom Hamilton. Live shows are known for extended jams, guest musicians, and marathon sets across the Dead songbook.
