JJ Slater

JJ Slater is a New England songwriter and guitarist whose soft-spoken vocals and choogling guitars blend blues, jazz, and groove-heavy playing. His playful songs often evoke nature through catchy hooks and smoky, unforced delivery. He wrote "The Silver Key" during a 2022 Helene Wurlitzer Foundation residency and released it in 2024. He performs solo and with Lexi Weege in Signature Dish, and has opened for Kat Wright and NRBQ.
