JJ Murphy

J.J. Murphy is a Denver guitarist and composer who blends modern jazz with folk, blues and rock storytelling. Albums include "10ft Tall Children's Choir" and "Sleep Paralysis" with bassist Wyatt Walker Wear. After a Master of Music at Belmont University, he has shared Denver bills with Bill Frisell and John Scofield. In the trio The Relief and his quintet, live sets pair tuneful melodies with exploratory improvisation.
