Jimmie Vaughan is an American blues-rock guitarist and singer from Dallas, Texas, long based in Austin. His lean, swinging guitar style draws on Texas blues and R&B traditions shaped by Albert, Freddie and B.B. King. He co-founded the Fabulous Thunderbirds in the 1970s and released the solo album "Strange Pleasure" (1994) after recording "Family Style" (1990) with his brother Stevie Ray Vaughan. Live performances spotlight his crisp Telecaster tone and understated Texas roadhouse blues.
