Jill McCracken is a queer retro soul singer songwriter from Boston who performs as a Recording Academy member. Their music pairs powerhouse vocals with lyrics about queerness, trauma and self reliance on records such as "big dog." They won New England Music Awards Soul/R&B Act of the Year and have shared bills with Emily King and Durand Jones.
