Jerry Rivera is a Puerto Rican salsa singer from Humacao, nicknamed El Bebe de la Salsa for his youthful voice. He sings romantic midtempo salsa with a smooth charm that helped popularize the genre with younger listeners. His 1989 debut "Empezando a Vivir" and 1992 album "Cuenta Conmigo" rank among salsa's best-selling releases. Live, he delivers signature hits with the salsa-pop appeal that made him a Latin star.
