Jair Oliveira is a Brazilian singer, composer, and producer and the son of samba legend Jair Rodrigues. He rose to fame as Jairzinho in Turma do Balão Mágico in the 1980s before building a solo career in MPB, samba, soul, and acid jazz. His Balloon Bossa show reimagines hits from that early era and his father's catalog through bossa nova and Brazilian soul. Live performances trace that arc from childhood nostalgia to contemporary arrangements.
