ISAIAH SHARKEY

Isaiah Sharkey is a Grammy-winning guitarist, vocalist and composer from Chicago who bridges modern soul, jazz, R&B and Black American guitar tradition. His sophisticated harmonic sense and fluid tone connect lines from George Benson, Curtis Mayfield, Wes Montgomery and Jimi Hendrix into a voice of his own. Raised in a musical family, he was touring nationally by 14 and later played on D'Angelo's "Black Messiah," winning a Grammy, and has worked with John Mayer and Lalah Hathaway. Live he balances virtuosic guitar, soaring vocals and deep groove in genre-blurring soul sets.
