Hot Tuna

Hot Tuna is an American blues rock band formed in 1969 in San Francisco by Jefferson Airplane veterans Jorma Kaukonen and Jack Casady. Their sound moves between acoustic country-blues roots and electrified blues rock built on Kaukonen guitar work and Casady bass. The self-titled debut album appeared in 1970, opening a catalog that alternated unplugged sets with heavy power-trio workouts. Shows foreground improvisational jams and deep American blues covers.
