Horsegirl is an American rock band from Chicago formed in 2019 by Nora Cheng, Penelope Lowenstein, and Gigi Reece. Their post-punk and indie rock draws on jangle pop, writing with candid scenes of girlhood and close friendship. The debut album "Versions of Modern Performance" arrived on Matador Records in 2022. Live sets turn inward, balancing restless New York energy with the intimacy of songs written as best friends.
