Heavens To Betsy

Heavens to Betsy is a riot grrrl punk duo from Olympia, Washington, formed by Corin Tucker and Tracy Sawyer. Their raw, feminist punk addressed rape culture, body image, queerness, and friendship with Tucker's howl over Sawyer's driving rhythms. Between 1992 and 1994 they released three 7-inch records and the full-length "Calculated" on Kill Rock Stars before Tucker co-founded Sleater-Kinney. They debuted at the International Pop Underground's Girl Night and reunited decades later as a defining voice of the riot grrrl era.
