Guaco is a Venezuelan tropical music band formed in Maracaibo in 1968. What began as gaita zuliana grew into a sound fusing salsa, pop, jazz, funk and rock rhythms. Landmark albums across the 1970s and 1980s made the group a national institution, earning multiple Pepsi Venezuela Music Awards. Live, Guaco fills venues with horn-driven dance sets built on decades of hits.
