Groundation

Groundation is an American roots reggae band from Sonoma County, California, formed in 1998 at Sonoma State University. Their sound fuses reggae with jazz horns, dub, and Afro-Latin rhythms, recorded with analog gear. The 2003 album "Hebron Gate" brought international acclaim across a catalog of more than 10 studio albums, including "One Rock" (2022). Concerts feature extended improvisation in high-energy, communion-like performances.
