Grateful Shred in Los Angeles

Grateful Shred is a Los Angeles band that plays the music of the Grateful Dead and the Jerry Garcia Band. Rather than a strict tribute, the group filters that repertoire through its own lens, with wide-open guitar tones, three-part vocal harmonies and long improvised solos. The band drew wider attention from a 2017 parking lot set outside the Hollywood Bowl that police shut down, and released the studio album "Might As Well" in 2025.
