Gillian Welch & David Rawlings in Asheville

Gillian Welch and David Rawlings are a Nashville Americana duo who met at Berklee College of Music in the early 1990s. Their spare sound blends Appalachian, bluegrass, and country with close harmonies and Rawlings' archtop guitar. Albums include "Time (The Revelator)" (2001), "The Harrow & the Harvest" (2011), and the Grammy-winning "Woodland" (2024). Live sets are intimate acoustic performances built on intertwined vocal and guitar interplay.
